The team had 5 wrestlers place: Evan Pulaski (6th @126), Derek Barklay (8th @138), Joe Andrews (6th @170) Logan Kemp (6th @195) and Mike Markham (8th @220).  Andrews and Kemp both made it to the semi-finals before moving to the consolation round.

Also wrestling were Muyad Mustafa (120), Vincent Meng (132), Ahmad Jumper (145), David Uzcha (152), Max Miller (160) and Chris Markham (220).

The highlight of this weeks match was wrestling new opponents.  The weekend introduced a host of unfamiliar teams and wrestlers.  There were two teams from the Brecksville tournament however nearly all matches presented unfamiliar foes and the chance to broaden our experience.  Each wrestler faced 3 - 5 new faces and every Elk wrestler won at least one match.  David Uzcha and Evan Pulaski led the match count with 3 victories each.

VARSITY RESULTS - CENTERVILLE KETTERING  DUAL, JAN 15

The meet started with a dual forfeit at 106.   Freshman Alex Clemens (113) wrestled his 1st varsity match.  The Elks won the next 5 weight classes to take a strong lead.  Evan Pulaski (126) and Vincent Meng (132) pinned their opponents in the 1st period.  Ahmad Jumper (145) closed out the Elk run of victories with a tech fall.  Mason Kuhr returned to the varsity line up and wrestled the 170 lb match.

Joe Andrews won by major decision raising the score to 28-16 Elks.  While these tech fall points were enough to earn the lead and possible team victory, Centerville needed one more win to eliminate Fairmont's chances.   Kettering earned a major decision at 195 lbs, leaving the Markhams to "seal the deal.".  Michael Markham (220) pinned his opponent late in the third period to eliminate Kettering's chances.  Final score to 34-26.
